Feeling VERY Inspired!

This week I have been in Hartlepool and at CCAD! and oh boy! Seeing the print rooms busy and everyone screen printing has definitely given me the screen printing bug! So, I got up early today and decided with my jungle print from second year I would love to take it into repeat.

The paint on my old Koda trace has all pealed off as its been so long and looks rather messy! So I have started from scratch and produced a new cut-through. I am currently doing the koda trace... think I'm going to be here a while. Good job I find the relaxing!

I'll keep you posted with my progress :)

An Easy way to get a Black Bath!

With my printing skills at hand I have been printing brown paper bags for the shop The Priory with their logo. Starting from scratch I produced a Koda Trace then exposed a screen from home and there you go... off I went printing.

It is alot harder printing onto paper I find than fabric but I still love screen printing anyhow. When the weather was bad I was having to wash my screens out in the bath which was very messy with black pigment. Now with the lovely week of sunshine I have been able to do it outside. Thank god!

Using my tote bags I also printed them a couple of samples of totes they could use in the future. I think they look rather good myself.

More Koda Traces..

Using my fab light box I've been tracing my designs onto graph paper in order to then do a cut threw. This then enabling me to do more Koda traces! I LOVE doing them and find it very relaxing I would love a job doing them all day! However, I do have a big work space which is getting gradually taken over with my mess!

This is my mirror design which I have put in repeat ready for when I'm back at college next tuesday and doing my lengths :)
