Run of Dye 2014!

Last weekend I took part in the Run or Dye event at Castle Howard in Yorkshire. All geared up in my running gear all I needed was my white Run or Dye T-shirt. I was ready and began the 5K race very clean.....

We then slowly began to get more and more colourful. I did the event with my two close friends Lydia ad Jade. At each 1KM we got showered by people ready and waiting to throw coloured dye at you. It was so exciting to see everyone smiling and too exciting to find out which colour would be next.

I don't know how my phone survived the event, I was worried but it did, and we got some fantastic photographs of the event! Being a girl, pink was the favourite colour to get thrown :)

After the run everyone gathered around the stage with music and more dye being thrown in celebration. It was fantastic and such a fab experience. I have never ran any type of race before and it was such an enjoyable experience with two of my close friends, and what better way to make you happy than have loads of colour thrown at you! All ages ran from big to small.

Here is one of the dye stops. Now you may be worried what this is doing to the environment. The dye is an eco friendly plant based powder! So no need to worry. You may only need to worry about your clothes. :)

Many were in neon tutu's and other fancy dress. What caught everyones eyes was this couple dressed as the bride and groom. Her dress did begun the journey white but by the end was a lovely rainbow of colour. I think it is such a fab idea. More so for the bride than the groom.

The grounds were fantastic. I have been to Castle Howard before the visit the house and gardens. The poor people visiting on the day must of been slightly worried they would end up covered in colour themselves. Here is a little picture of me jumping with excitement. 

It was great to see so many people running for what ever reasons they have, whether it was personal, charity or just for fun. It didn't matter whether you was a keen runner, it was about enjoying the experience and enjoying the colour. I have such a laugh.

South Shields...

I just found this blog post that I started writing in my drafts and not completed! How rude of me. It was about my trip up north last month! Can't believe it was a month ago already! Here I have some fun pictures from South Shields. The views were beautiful! 

It was such a beautiful evening, and even better catching up with my close friends. Giving me my very own private tour :).

It is always interesting walking around other seaside towns and comparing them to home. With it only being March it was very quiet but I can imagine the place will be thriving with holiday makers this summer. They had on display these lovely billboards with pictures of the seaside, peoples old postcards and holiday makers. Here are some of my favourites...

I hope to share with you some more pictures of me visiting local places soon, in the mean time we have just moved home and studio! Very Exciting!

Some Beautiful Pictures of Bridlington on Instagram by Lynne Morelli

Over the last year, one app which has become increasingly popular is the photo editing app- Instagram. I love to use it myself and like other networking sites it is a great way to share your favourite moments in pictures with others. One person whose work I have become a huge fan of is the work of Lynne Morelli.

Lynne has traveled all around the country taking beautiful landscape shots of the sights around her. I was very happy to notice these familiar shots of Bridlington in some of her latest posts. 

I love Lynne's use of contrasting colours; the blue bright sky in contrast to the dirty north east sea water. It simply looks beautiful. They definitely make Bridlington shine as a seaside town.

Hyde Park in The Snow!

My day started with a trek through the snow to York to get the train back to London, the countryside was beautiful first thing in the morning covered (above image) especially as the blue sky was seeping to come through.

Hyde Park in the snow is Beautiful! Soon as I got to London I went to have a look. It was great to see the difference in the scenery from the previous weeks pictures. Everyone was playing in the snow! There was some huge snowmen! It was great!

Trekking up Mount Meru!

What goes up must come down!

The views from the mountain were absolutely stunning. Me and Anni chose to visit mount meru waterfalls on another weekend we had free. To get to them we had to climb an area of mount meru, even though it felt like we had climbed the full mountain! Many people lived along the mountain and we saw these cheeky children who loved the camera :)

Women walked up and down with their supplies on their head. They made it look so easy walking up and down, especially when we was both struggling to balance on the rocks and dusty ground.

The mountain had a variety of terrain, these tree's where in an area at one part which was flat towards the top where we was walking. It was like a forest with tall tree's. Many had been planted rather than grew there naturally. On the other hand, below is a tree which has grown naturally. It stood alongside the hill in open space, and was extremely tall. But made beautiful imagery.

On the way up, there was alot of overcast, so it wasn't till the mid-afternoon the sun came out and it was very hot. It was a good job we was going down at this point or I think we might of passed out. I thoroughly enjoyed the walking, it was such a beautiful day!

This is the view of Arusha from park way up the mountain side on our trek. You could see for miles. It was great to see how far we had walked. We tried to make out our daily walk to place from a distance.
