Little Streets of Colour...

Around in Chelsea where my placement is the back streets behind the shops are beautiful! Each house has its own characteristics. Whether it be it's front door and windows to the colour it's painted. It's like walking down a fairy tale street. Makes me feel like a child and that I'm not in the big city!

Totes Amazing @CCAD Folio!

I finally got the chance to quickly nip up to Hartlepool and visit the wonderful Folio Shop @CCAD! Here is a little snap I took featuring my tote bags! I felt very proud! Everything in the shop is stunning! If you haven't popped in get yourself there! Its open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10-3pm.

How Hot was it Last Thursday!

Oh my! Last thursday it was so hot.... 17C!!! Normally we are complaining its too cold in the studio but on thursday we was having to keep the door open. On my lunch I went to a local park to eat. It was great to not need to wear a coat! The park had a variety of people in there with someone even doing some Tai Chi. It was very relaxing and even got to see a little robin. I hope for some lovely weather next week :)

Smile for the Camera :)

Markets, markets EVERYWHERE!

Market Research: Brick Lane Sunday Markets.

Me and Catherine went to explore Brick Lane this weekend. It was extremely busy with various markets and vintage pop up shops. We couldn't resist these yummy buns! They were delicious and it didn't take me long to finish it off.

It was also great to see all the stalls selling hand made accessories, fashion garments, cakes and lots of other things! I took the opportunity to gather some business cards and flyers. I would love to have my own stall there selling items I've made. Such a great atmosphere.

Anthropologie!

Went into the Anthropologie shop on Kings Road today as its just opposite where my placement is! Oh my! It's beautiful! I only managed to get these two snaps but I could of taken hundreds and easily spent a fortune! The store was full of inspirational use of colour and patterns! Plus it smelt gorgeous and even had a waterfall inside! FAB!

Addicted to Instagram!

Have you got an Iphone? Yes? Then you should definitely buy the app Instagram! I just can't get enough of it! It is a quick way to make beautiful images more beautiful, by simply editing them with the press of a button.

Market Research: Designers Guild.

I wanted to go explore Chelsea some more, however, it was shame the showrooms were closed. I did get a sneak peak inside and the window displays where very exciting.

Incase you don't know, I really love print! What caught my eye was the Havana window display of Designers Guild. I love the bright bold use of colour and florals giving an exotic feel.

I think I would of been like a child in a sweetshop if I managed to have a look inside.

Hyde Park in The Snow!

My day started with a trek through the snow to York to get the train back to London, the countryside was beautiful first thing in the morning covered (above image) especially as the blue sky was seeping to come through.

Hyde Park in the snow is Beautiful! Soon as I got to London I went to have a look. It was great to see the difference in the scenery from the previous weeks pictures. Everyone was playing in the snow! There was some huge snowmen! It was great!

50 Years of the Times Magazine @ The Saatchi Gallery

At the weekend I went to visit another gallery- The Saatchi, located near Sloane Square in Chelsea. It had this great exhibition celebrating 50 years of the Times Magazine. The exhibition itself consisted of a series of their well known iconic images featured from over the years. It was great to see and I learnt a little bit of history with some of them. One that caught my eye was the one of Tanzania and Lake Natron as it reminded me of my time in Africa last year. It definitely worth a visit!
