Cath Kidston Safari Collection 2014.

Have you seen Cath Kidston's new Safari Collection!
Well I love it all! Here is some of my favourite pieces...

The fabric itself you can purchase by the meter. When I was in Africa I was lucky enough to go on some safari's in my spare time. Which is was I particularly love this new collection. I have already been bought the mug with the giraffe's on but I didn't realise the fabric had elephants, lions, zebras and giraffe's on! I think I need a piece!

Or maybe a plate...

Some women have an obsession with shoes, but mine is definitely with bags, especially if it has a gorgeous print on it. I think I may need this one....

Furnishing fabrics is also a passion of mine. I have myself produced a jungle print at university which does have some similar features to the Cath Kidston one. I love this cushion in the collection and how the trees have tiny detail of embroidery. So cute!

Or why not just have the cushion in the print iteself....

Tarangire Part 2!

Giraffe!

Here are my second set of photographs from this Safari. Seeing all the animals was very inspiring me and I can't wait to get drawing them! Here is a cheeky snap of me and Anni :)

Baboons!

Giraffe having a little chat with a female ostich.

The jeep got to go through areas of water and mud, it was great!

The big tree's and scenery were beautiful!

Really loved these elephants!

This monkey joined us on our lunch break, he was around the picnic area trying to steel everyones food! Very Cheeky!

Arusha National Park

Also, in our free weekends me and Anni got to go on some safari's. I've never been on one before and absolutely loved it! If i could I would go on them all the time they are actually really relaxing. One of them we went on was to the Arusha National Park which is located near Killimanjaro. The terrain here was really green compared to the other safari's we visited. There were lots of grass and many areas of forest with monkeys. Below are some of my images, we got to see zebra, white tail monkeys, baboons, giraffe, gazelle, warthog, and flamingo's.

The giraffe were sat down which is extremely rare sight to see. The guide said it meant they felt safe in their environment from predators.

More posts on Safari's coming soon....

Back from Africa!

The currency was abit strange to understand at first. 100,000 shillings was equivalent to £40.

We also got chance to visit the waterfalls of Mount Meru. The views from up the mountain were amazing and the waterfalls themselves were beautiful!

Lindsey collected us some bottle tops from the restaurant she managers. We took them in to use as teaching aids to help them with addition and subtraction.

We also got the opportunity in our space time to go on Safari, in which we got to go to- Ngorogoro Crater, Tarangerie National Park, and Arusha National Park.

Here, the children were doing a colouring exercise to do with maths. They had to recognise the shapes and colour them in accordingly, counting how many of each shape there were.

One of three of our planes which took us to Africa. We had two connections- Dubai and Addis Ababa. However, on the way back we had to do an emergency landing in Nairobi because one of the engine's broke due to bird strike. I don't know where August went really. It went so fast and so many memories have been made. Here are a few pics I have taken on my phone using an arty app. More pictures are to follow :)
