Guido Daniele

Today I am sharing the amazing work of Guido Daniele. I do feel like I have blogged about his work before but that was many posts a go. I thought I would check out his work again and see what new creations he has produced. Guido Daniele creates these beautiful animals on human hands. He also does he beautiful painting on peoples entire body. Born in Italy in 1950 he now lives and works in Milan.

The eyes are simply captivating. There is so much detail within each piece. You can hardly tell that it is a hand. I wonder if he has ever had a go on feet? I'm sure the paint brush must give you a tickle!

His work has caught international interest from across the glove. I think you can easily see why!

For further information check out his website! It is full of inspiration: http://www.guidodaniele.com

Damien Hirst Exhibition at the Tate!

Warning.... Spoiler Alert as I have included alot of Images from the Exhibition!

I had noticed a show on Channel 4 a month or two ago about Damien Hirst but not managed to watch it, but since I have seen his exhibition advertised at the Tate I have been dying to go. Luckily I have now had chance!
It was definitely an eye opening exhibition. My favourite part of it being the room of butterflies.... walking into the next room of the exhibition I didn't expect there to be a huge amount of butterflies free and flying around. It was amazing. I love them as it is but to see so many varieties and see them flying around quite freely was fab! I love how this room shows the life cycle of a butterfly with the caccoons hung on the walls with some of them open and some still closed.

Even though some may find looking inside the body of an animal disgusting, the way the animals are displayed in this exhibition makes it so intriguing.

Again, more butterflies! How fantastic are the colours of this piece below..

The Exhibition is on at the Tate till September! Get Yourselves There!

Update of the Last Week Coming Up! Part 3.

Aswell as visiting Scarborough I also took the girls to visit Sewerby Park which is just on the outskirts of Bridlington. They have a small zoo which I wasn't sure if would be open yet but it was! Below are a few shots of the animals we saw.

This rather large pig smiled nicely for the camera. Sewerby Zoo is known for its group of penguins and they was very cute. I think they thought we had come to feed them as they were all ready at their door and sticking their heads through the gap in the gate!

You all know how I love birds, and the zoo has a fantastic selection, different types with some fantastic bold colours.

This little emu really wanted a bite of Anni.

Saw This Little Fox in Hyde Park!

The other day when I was in Hyde Park there was this fox! Never seen one so close before and certainly not during day time. It looked so hungry and not in a good condition. There was also beautiful squirrels I would of love to have taken a good photograph of them to draw.

Arusha National Park

Also, in our free weekends me and Anni got to go on some safari's. I've never been on one before and absolutely loved it! If i could I would go on them all the time they are actually really relaxing. One of them we went on was to the Arusha National Park which is located near Killimanjaro. The terrain here was really green compared to the other safari's we visited. There were lots of grass and many areas of forest with monkeys. Below are some of my images, we got to see zebra, white tail monkeys, baboons, giraffe, gazelle, warthog, and flamingo's.

The giraffe were sat down which is extremely rare sight to see. The guide said it meant they felt safe in their environment from predators.

More posts on Safari's coming soon....
