The Priory Menswear Summer 13!

Nearly a year and a half from their opening date, The Priory Menswear has been transformed. Their ever growing list of top brands being stocked has led to this amazing selection of footwear for the locals of Bridlington and beyond to catch a glimpse of. I remember when I first went into the store their shoe collection began as only about dozen. Now, they grab your attention as you walk threw the door with their fantastic choice.

Most recently the store has had its third refit to accommodate its growing footwear stock. Which pair catches your eye?

Along with some photo's of the shop I thought I would share with you some of my favourite items of clothing they have to offer with some gorgeous prints!

Firstly we have the Jansport Off Trail Multiflower Power backpack. This print is so fun, it immediately caught my eye, so much, I had to purchase it myself (but the smaller version). It is perfect for if it rains being waterproof and I love that when I wear mine I feel like I'm off back to school :)

Next is the Drunk Aloha shirt by HUF. Its bold all over print includes the Hawaiian atmosphere, Huf branded bottle caps and text. Definitely one to wear on your jollies!

Penfield Casper 5 Panel Cap Printed Denim- I love its all over leaf print. I would wear this myself just for the print but I don't think it will suit me :)

Below is the Obey vintage Tie-Dye Tee. Tie-dye is everywhere at the moment, with festival season in full swing everyone has gone crazy for it. I have been meaning to have a go myself over the summer holidays but not manage to get round to it. I'm hoping to create something for Dylan.

Finally, another floral print. You can never go wrong with florals, here there and everywhere. Here we have the Carhartt Blue Orchid shirt. Another all over ditzy print.

Guido Daniele

Today I am sharing the amazing work of Guido Daniele. I do feel like I have blogged about his work before but that was many posts a go. I thought I would check out his work again and see what new creations he has produced. Guido Daniele creates these beautiful animals on human hands. He also does he beautiful painting on peoples entire body. Born in Italy in 1950 he now lives and works in Milan.

The eyes are simply captivating. There is so much detail within each piece. You can hardly tell that it is a hand. I wonder if he has ever had a go on feet? I'm sure the paint brush must give you a tickle!

His work has caught international interest from across the glove. I think you can easily see why!

For further information check out his website! It is full of inspiration: http://www.guidodaniele.com

Hornsea Leisure Centre. 4/8/13

Last weekend I was at Hornsea Leisure Centre with many other traders from around the East Riding of Yorkshire. It was a lovely summers morning and I haven't been to Hornsea for ages so I was glad to visit the small coastal town. I got my stall set up and off we went! I spoke to a variety of lovely people which is what I love about doing these events.

My Mr Duck cards all flew to new homes. He certainly has been very popular this summer with everyone. People say its his eyes and the way he looks at you! The little charmer.

I am also so pleased with my vintage ladder. It is so fantastic to display my tote bags from. I am rather in love with it!

My next event is still to be confirmed but it could be in September. I shall keep you posted :)

Liebster Nomination!

I am excited to share I have been nominated for a Liebster Award by the lovely Lizzie from Teacup Tweed. The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers! I love how it takes the form of a Blog hop, it is great to learn about others and meet new bloggers too.

The idea is to answer 10 questions by your nominator and then nominate some of your favourite bloggers and create 10 questions for them. So here we go! I shall answer Lizzie's questions :)

1. Tea or coffee first thing in the morning?

Definitely a nice cup of tea! I don't drink coffee but I am partial to a hot chocolate and cream. (With Marshmallows)

2. What inspires you to blog?

I love to blog about most things but what inspires me to blog is having news. Whether its news about whats going on in my life to whether its something happening in the world. I also love to blog about art and design.

3. Town or country?

I live in a small town but my road is right next door to the countryside so I am a bit cheeky and get the best of both but I do love the countryside.

4. What is your dream job?

My dream job is what I am doing now: my own design business. My dream though is for it to be a success.

5. What is your favourite animal?

My favourite animal has to be my French Bulldog, Dylan. If you follow me on my social media sites you will have seen me post pictures of him quite frequently :)

6. Is your blog about your job or a hobby/ interest?

I'd say both. My job as a surface designer is my main interest. I do also blog about other art and craft aspects such as knitting and other topics such as travel.

7. Hot or cold weather?

Hot, I love summer floral prints!

8. What is your favourite sport?

My favourite sport is Tennis.

9. Are you a leader or a follower?

This is such an interesting but hard question. I definitely think with Lauren Cherice Designs I am a leader. When is comes down to favourite TV programs I am a follower :)

10. What is your favourite pizza topping?

I do love ham and pineapple!

So here are my nominations:
